Windsor Education Foundation to Host 4th Annual Bingo Fundraiser — This Year, It's Grab Bag Bingo!

WINDSOR, CT — The Windsor Education Foundation (WEF) invites the community to its 4th Annual Bingo Fundraiser, a not-to-be-missed evening of fun, friends, and friendly competition, on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:30 PM at LP Wilson Community Center, 599 Matianuck Avenue, Windsor.

The event supports WEF’s mission to provide funds for teachers who have innovative educational ideas that would never get to the classroom without a WEF grant.

This year's event brings an exciting new twist to the game; prizes for each round are in a "Grab Bag” format. Each ticket includes ten games of bingo, and the winner of every round gets to choose their prize from two incredible options valued between $100 and $350 each— from designer handbags, restaurant gift cards, spa splurges, and so much more. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to browse the prize selection.

The evening will also feature a silent auction and raffle stocked with exciting items generously donated by local businesses and other WEF supporters, including this year's event sponsors: Carmon Community Funeral Homes and Windsor Federal Bank.

“People look forward to our annual bingo nigh. They call their friends and get together for the games, bringing takeout from local restaurants, home made treats, and other refreshments for their table and have a fun night out.” says WEF President Paula M. Pierce. “I’ve even "Uber Eats”ed dinner at one bingo event."

Tickets are $40 and include ten rounds of bingo. Tickets may be purchased online or via Venmo at @WEFCT07. All proceeds directly benefit WEF's mission. "We would not be able to give out grants to Windsor teachers if it weren't for the generosity of the people and businesses who support our fundraisers," said WEF Board Member Shannon Rabbett. "And it's always a fun night."

Don't miss your chance to be part of Windsor's favorite fall tradition — grab your friends, get your cards, and get ready to grab your prize!

The Windsor Education Foundation encourages community support for excellence in public education and provides funding for innovative projects and programs in Windsor Public Schools.
