First Town Downtown, in collaboration with Windsor Historical Society and Windsor Chamber of Commerce, has a FUN and EXCITING activity for you and your family starting this month and lasting through the summer. Visit the www.TourWindsorCT.org website on your smartphone or tablet and enjoy visiting Windsor shops, restaurants, and attractions.

Pick up your own printed shad fish from one of our partner locations, listed below, and take a selfie of the two of you having a good time at any of the points from TourWindsorCT!

Did you know there is also a chance to win PRIZES!?! Post your selfie with the shad on the www.TourWindsorCT.org website or social media using the hashtag #theshadalwaysreturn. Prize winners will be chosen at random at the end of every month from the pool of selfies linked to the hashtag.

Farmers Market


The 2025 Farmers Market takes place each Thursday starting on June 19, 2025 and runs through October 16, 2025 from 3:00 – 6:00 pm at 240 Broad Street in Windsor Center.

This well-attended weekly local marketplace in Windsor Center may include locally grown fruits, vegetables, baked goods, herbs, eggs, cheese, skincare products, honey, books and more, along with live music!

Come browse and talk with our farmers and other vendors this summer, enjoy live music, enjoy the sunshine and a fresh, healthy vibe!

Tomaca is a dynamic vocalist and performer. She has performed on stages big and small in Boston, New York, Vermont, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Jamaica, Foxwoods, Las Vegas, opened for Kool & the Gang and is a former anthem singer for UConn basketball. Tomaca's rare vocal versatility is reflected in that fact that she sings RnB, Motown, Rock, Show Tunes and Opera. Her repertoire includes a wide variety of artists dating from the current time back into the 40’s as well as some original music.

The Farmington Valley Band performs a wide variety of challenging and outstanding concert music, favorites and marches. Although the marching tunes of K.L. King, Sousa, R.B. Gene has been playing guitar for the last 35 years. In the 80's he was in a very popular band called "Smokestack Lightning". From there he joined a North east institution..."Motown Review" and played up and down the East coast. In 1992 Gene left the "Motown Review" in order to start his own group, "Gene Donaldson and the StingRays". With this band he has shared the stage with some of the Blues most respected artists. During this time Gene also toured with a number of blues artists as a sideman including Lee "Shot" Williams, Phil Guy, Eddie Kirkland, and Mary Taylor. He has also appeared on stage with blues artists such as Johnny Rawls, and Lucky Petterson. Currently Gene released a CD in the Spring of ’09'

Whiskey Traveler is an alternative Country/Americana band from Western MA, formed in 2015 by Jessica and Bernie Dion. Whiskey Traveler performs at a wide variety of venues including bars and fairs, charitable causes like Rays Of Hope, and have opened for 5-time Josie Awards nominated, Outlaw County Artist Dee Rock.
