Why Susan loves Windsor center My husband and I moved to the Hartford area 18 months ago after I received my appointment at the University of Hartford. We chose Windsor to rent our home, based on the fact that the owners would allow a St. Bernard. We spent 6 months looking for a place to buy. We travelled all over the area, including Avon, Simsbury and Granby. But we kept coming back to Windsor. I would see these other towns and I kept comparing them to Windsor. We love the town green and the people are wonderful. I really wanted to live right near downtown and we were lucky enough, with the help of Sharon Rispoli, to find the perfect home on Maple Avenue. Windsor is a magical place. It is as if time has stood still with its feeling of “good old American home town”. Our neighbors on Maple Avenue are great. During a recent snow storm, all the neighbors were out helping each other shovel the snow and helping the elders of the neighborhood. Although downtown has gone through some transitions, I believe with a little effort and love it can thrive again. Windsor’s town green is a unique place that creates a central space for all of the wonderful people of Windsor to come together and create community. |
