Don Trinks

Donald S. Trinks served as the Mayor for Windsor, Connecticut from 2001 - 2023. He was born and raised in the Town of Windsor. He has been an active council member on the Town Council since 1995. His areas of expertise include real estate, budgeting, insurance, and communications. Mr. Trinks supports and welcomes all new businesses to the Town of Windsor and values economic growth within the town.

Mr. Trinks has a Bachelor of Sociology and Criminal Justice from the University of Hartford. He has been a board member of the Capitol Area Substance & Abuse Council, and is presently a member of the Town Council, the CRCOG Policy Board, the Community Advisory Board of Bradley Airport, Riverfront Recapture, and Connecticut Council of Municipalities. He has received recognition awards from the Chamber of Commerce in 1992, 1993, and 1995.

In addition to his duties as Mayor, Don has owned and managed Bart's Drive In Restaurant from 2005 - 2022. In 2008 the The Beanery Bistro moved in with Bart's, providing a diversified menu, catering services, healthy oriented foods and an assortment of gourmet coffee

Don and his wife Barbara have 2 children, Melissa a Senior at Quinnipiac University and Rebecca, a freshman at the University of New Haven
