Windsor Garden Club Meeting and Dahlia Speaker
Dahlias by “The Dahlia Guy”
Do you love Dahlias but have never grown them? Or do you grow Dahlias and want to learn more about them so your plants produce more blooms? How about overwintering and splitting tubers?
If you answer yes to any of the above, please join us on October 14, 2024, as we hear from former Connecticut Dahlia Society President Joe Jasonis.
Joe has been growing Dahlias in Connecticut for over 36 years. At his highest point, he had over 350 plants. Even though he has only about 200 these days, we are certain to learn a little about growing one of our favorite late summer, early fall blooms.
In addition to Joe’s experience and expertise on Dahlias, he has received many honors and awards for his Dahlias, and he has sat in the judging seat as an accredited judge for the American Dahlia Society.
Our meeting will be held at the L.P. Wilson Senior Center, 599 Matianuck Ave., Windsor, CT. It opens at 6:30 p.m., and the speaker will speak from 7 to 8:00 p.m. Our business meeting will follow.
The meeting is free to attend. No membership is required.
