“Voices Against Lyme Disease CT” a Windsor based non-profit is continuing to work throughout Connecticut to bring awareness, and education to families and communities through wellness fairs, marathons and expos while also providing support to those with this devastating illness.
In partnership with State Reps Peggy Sayers and David Baram “Voices Against Lyme Disease CT” is hosting a Lyme Disease Awareness and Prevention Forum at the Legislative Office Building on Tuesday, May,5 2015 from 10:00 – noon in hearing room 1B. Key speakers from numerous departments in CT along with research doctors will be providing insight into this debilitating tick borne illness and other diseases carried by these same ticks. In addition, 2 individuals currently suffering with Lyme Disease will provide insight into how it has and continues to affect them, their families and their ability to work as well as the cost placed on them to cover most costs associated with their illness. We cannot thank Peggy and David enough for their roles in making this an important issue for the Legislative Body to understand and provide help as well.
