Children's Grief Awareness Day

November 19, 2015, Children's Grief Awareness Day, seeks to bring attention to the fact that often support can make all the difference in the life of a grieving child. It provides an opportunity for all of us to raise awareness of the painful impact that the death of a loved one has in the life of a child, an opportunity to make sure that these children receive the support they need.

What can you do?

Show your awareness and support of grieving children by
wearing blue on Nov. 19!

Educate yourself about the grief of children and teens. Read about children and teens and grief. Become familiar with current knowledge about grief in general and grieving teens/children specifically.

Become aware of grief support programs by
visiting your local grief support center and see how you can
make a difference in the life of a grieving child.
