Add a little spice to your life at the Windsor Chamber of Commerce's Chili Challenge presented by Konica Minolta and Windsor Federal Savings on the town green Saturday, October 1st from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. (Don't let a little rain scare you!)

More than 30 local businesses, civic groups and creative cooks will all be there with some of the best chili you have ever tasted. Come to taste all the different chili recipes! Chili sample tickets are $1.00 each. Don't forget to bring a non perishable food item to the Kiwanis Club Canoe race to benefit the Windsor Food Bank.

Join in on the tongue-tingling flavors, toe-tappin' sounds and a great time at the Chili Challenge! Samples of delicious chili will be available for $1 each. Contestants work on their recipes all year and try new flavors and heat levels. There are chilis with beans, no-bean traditional chili, vegetarian chili, and every temperature from mild to way hot. Do you dare try them all?

Participants are dressed in costume to accompany the booth's theme making this a fun and lively family event each fall. The recipes are amazing! "There is always plenty of great tasting chili, great costumes and plenty of family fun at this popular event," said event chairperson, Kathy Kopacz, "We are extremely excited that so many cooks return again and again and we welcome any new chefs to the party."
