Summer Workshop Series (Adult Classes)

Sunday, July 12 -Friday, August 21

Perfect for all experience levels -from those who have always wanted to try theatre to those with more experience. All workshops are for ages 18+ (though exceptions may be made for mature 16 & 17 year-old students)

Workshops may stand alone or can build upon each other.

An informal end of summer coffee house will be held on Friday, August 21 from 7-9PM where students can share work created in the workshops (additional rehearsal time will be provided the week of the coffee house).

Tuesday, July 14*, 7-10PM (Break at 9PM, last hour optional) – Free Writing The Plot: A Deck of Techniques (Playwriting Workshop) taught by Edmond Chibeau

Tuesday, July 21*, 7-10PM (Break at 9M, last hour optional) – Free Writing The Plot: A Deck of Techniques (Playwriting Workshop) taught by Edmond Chibeau
*Class can stand alone or taken twice to further expand work

Tuesday, July 28, 7-10PM –The Art of Storytelling (Acting/Storytelling Workshop) taught by Alex Jacobs

Tuesday, August 4, 7-10PM – Unifying the Body Mind Divide –Using Physical Theatre to Expand Your Performance (Acting Workshop) taught by Jamianne Devlin

Tuesday, August 18, 7-10PM –Pictures on Stage: Directing Basics (Directing Workshop) taught by Amanda Pawlik

Students may take one class or opt to take several or all of the classes in the series. A discounted rate is provided for students registering for more than one class and to Windsor Art Center members.

Scholarships are available through a grant from the Mabel F. Hoffman Charitable Trust, Bank of America, N.A. Trustee.
