The Friends of Northwest Park are pleased to present one of the funniest entertainers on today's music scene! Christine Lavin will perform in concert on Saturday January 23rd at 7:30 pm at the Northwest Park Nature Center in Windsor, Connecticut. Christine Lavin is a New York City based singer, songwriter, and promoter of contemporary folk music. She has recorded numerous solo albums, and has also recorded with other female folk artists under the name Four Bitchin’ Babes. Ms. Lavin’s smart and funny sense of irony and wit, nail our lives and foibles on the head! Her delightfully skewed songs cover a lot of territory: RELATIONSHIPS (“What Was I Thinking?”) and LIFE’S INJUSTICES (“Attractive Stupid People”) to name a few. Come one hour before the show and BRING YOUR KNITTING. Christine will knit with you in the Lobby. The Northwest Park Nature Center is a smoke free, handicap accessible facility located in Windsor, Connecticut. For ticket information and reservations go on line at www.northwestpark.org, or call 860-285-1886. Proceeds will benefit environmental studies at the Park. unknown.jpg |
