Identifying and Preventing Consumer Scams
Older adults are frequent targets of scams. Consumer scams are commonly used against Medicare beneficiaries to obtain Medicare numbers and Social Security number, both of which can help scam artists and criminals to commit health care fraud. Please join us for an educational presentation by the North Central Area Agency on Aging's Senior Medicare Patrol in partnership with the Connecticut Legal Services on Tuesday, April 5th from 10-11:30 am at the Windsor Senior Center, 599 Matianuck Avenue in Windsor.

Cheryl Feuerman, Senior Staff Attorney with CT Legal Services, will speak about common scams, potential ways for fraud and abuse and give tips on what consumers should watch for to avoid becoming victims. She will also provide resources dedicated to consumer protection and reporting suspected fraud. Please call Susan Nunes at Windsor Social Services to register for this program at 860-285-1839.
