The Hayden Station Fire Company, located at the corner of Basswood Road and Pond Road, off Kennedy Road near Exit 39/41 of I-91 Northbound, presents the 16th Annual Family/Fisherman's Firehouse Breakfast on Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. While the breakfast traditionally coincides with the opening of the Shad fishing season, it is open to everyone. “You don’t have to be a fisherman to enjoy the food and the company,” says Hayden Station President Steve Knauber. “Just show up, make a $8 donation, and dig in.” The breakfast will include tours of the new firehouse plus you can have your photograph taken on a firetruck and it will be emailed to you. Volunteer firefighters have been serving Windsor in one form or another since 1830. The Hayden Station Fire Company was formally founded September 28, 1950. There were 21 members present at that organizational meeting. Since then there have been more than 150 members serving the town of Windsor.
