at Windsor’s Northwest Park

Spend the morning on Saturday, May 14th from 9:30 a.m. TO 12:00 P.M. at Northwest Park and explore Connecticut Notable Trees with Frank Kaputa, co-chairman of the Notable Tree Committee. There will be a brief presentation on notable trees, learn tree identification, and then set outside for the field study portion. Our State is blessed with a rich diversity of plants, animals, forests, and historic resources. We all share a concern for preserving this cultural landscape, the things that give our state its unique character. Trees are symbolic of our relationship with nature, a touchstone to the past and future. Light refreshments will be provided. The cost is $8.00 (Windsor-resident) and $10.00 (non-resident) Registration is required. Call 860-285-1886 or townofwindsorct.com/recreation to register. Northwest Park is located at 145 Lang Road, Windsor, CT.
