Nora Jane Struthers and The Party Line are a traveling Carnival of Appalachian - roots - rock. The high energy, Nashville based quintet perform Struthers' original story songs with tight, three part harmonies, fiddle, claw hammer banjo, acoustic guitar, bass, and drums. Struthers was catapulted into the spotlight when she lead her band to a blue ribbon at the prestigious 2010 Telluride Bluegrass Festival band competition . Struthers' songs are as steeped in American history, and as well crafted, as the beautiful vintage dresses she wears on stage. In her latest album “Wake” Nora Jane puts her twist on Americana with a collection of songs that shows the singer and songwriter putting a modern spin on traditional Americana sounds Nora Jane infuses bright fresh lyrics into a traditional genre with sheer intelligence. “She is, first and foremost, a songwriter who's singing is as polished as an Opry pro.” Steven Stone, Vintage Guitar . The Northwest Park Nature Center is a smoke free, handicap accessible facility.
