50th Annual Kiwanis Shad Derby Road Race and Walk on Saturday May 21, 2022 with a 10:00 AM Start Time. Day of Race registration available 8:00 AM – 9:45 AM We are glad to be back after two years off due to COVID restrictions and we are excited to be celebrating 50 years of the Kiwanis Shad Derby Road Race. This is your chance to be part of one of the longest continuously running road races in the state of Connecticut. Bring your family & friends to help us celebrate! The Kiwanis Shad Derby Road Race, is a 5K, accompanied by a 1.5-mile fun walk, for the young ones and the young at heart. Our race winds through the town of Windsor, the oldest town in Connecticut, starting on the Windsor Green, along the picturesque Farmington River and back to the Windsor Green. The Kiwanis Club will award racers medallions for the top finishers in individual age/gender categories as well as for the overall men and women’s first place finishers. Free T-shirts given to the first 100 registrants.
