The Ninth Annual Members’ Exhibition will open on Saturday, July 15th from 5pm to 7pm with a reception, and will run through August 26, 2023. The WAC Members’ Exhibition will showcase a wide range of talent featuring diverse styles, subjects, and media. WAC members include professional and avocational artists of all ages. Awards will be presented for Best in Show, Second Place, Honorable Mention, and Young Participant Recognition.

We are thrilled to announce that Ellis Echevarria will serve as our Juror of Awards this year. Ellis is an award-winning art director and established artist with a professional career spanning over three decades and two continents. His collaborations with industry leaders have resulted in the creation of iconic brands. Drawing inspiration from his upbringing in the Hartford community and his understanding of classic design and urban culture, Ellis’s recent artwork reflects his experiences and background. He has consulted and produced world-class commercial design solutions for renowned organizations and has received numerous awards from leading design authorities in the art world.


Events:

Opening Reception: Saturday, July 15th from 5pm to 7pm

Award Presentation: Saturday, July 15th during the opening reception. The winners will be announced on the Windsor Art Center website and our social media accounts.

Art Rocks! Treasure Hunt for everyone!

Starting from Saturday, July 15th at 10am, the Windsor Art Center and its surrounding perimeter will be filled with unique “art rocks” waiting to be discovered. These rocks are created by local artists and residents! Rock contributions were accepted until July 8th. Please place your rock creations in the bin by the gallery entrance.

Art Pick Up: Purchased work can be picked up on Sunday, August 27, 9 – 11am and Wednesday, August 30, 4 – 6pm
