The Friends of Northwest Park are pleased to offer a romantic evening of Jazz with The Dechamplain Jazz Quartet on Saturday, February 14th at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Northwest Park Concert Series. The DeChamplains use the stage to share an amazing tradition. Their unique combination of accessibility and musicality allow them to present a variety of music including the American Songbook, contemporary jazz pieces and original compositions. Matt DeChamplain (piano) “plays with amazing dexterity and superb taste”...HARTFORD JAZZ SOCIETY. Atla DeChamplain (vocals) has a distinctive sound which combines the sensitivity and feeling of a vocalist with the agility and melody of an instrumentalist. Both violinist Jason Anick and Matt Dwonszyk on the bass bring a unique musical rapport to enhance Alta’s graceful and evocative voice. Together they create a comfortable atmosphere that reaches today’s diverse audience with a musical experience that is truly memorable. The Northwest Park Nature Center is a smoke free, handicap accessible facility located in Windsor, Connecticut. Tickets are $17.
