Northwest Park Concerts Present:
The Hot Flashes

The Northwest Park Concert Series will present The Hot Flashes in concert on Saturday November 19 at 7:30 pm at the Northwest Park Nature Center in Windsor.
The Hot Flashes are an exciting and eclectic group fronted by three female vocalists who have made a name for themselves on the New England music scene and have reunited after a 13 year hiatus to bring their tight vocal harmonies and jazzy acoustic stylings to a number of select venues in the area. The Flashes are Amy Gallatin, who with her expressive soulful singing has made a name for herself both in the US/Canada and overseas, award-winning singer-songwriter/guitarist Gail Wade, and multi-instrumentalist Peggy Harvey, founding member of the legendary bluegrass group Traver Hollow. Together they have amassed a wealth of beautifully performed tunes drawn from the bluegrass, folk, swing, jazz, and blues genres, Supporting cast includes renowned Dobroist Roger Williams and his son JD on mandolin. Veteran bassist John Urbanik rounds out the sound with his solid bass underpinnings and provides a few bass vocals as well.
Northwest Park Nature Center is a alcohol-free, handicap accessible facility located in Windsor, Connecticut. Proceeds benefit the Gordon & Libby Taylor Educational Fund for environmental education at the Park. For information and reservations call 860-285-1886 or on line at www.northwestpark.org
