The 2025 Upcycled Planter Challenge takes place June 21st through June 30th and coincides with the Windsor Garden Club’s Garden Tour on June 28th and be featured on the Garden Tour map. Since 2016, butterfly habitats have been planted at Ace Hardware, Dewey’s Barrels, Miller’s Pond, and Windsor Riverwalk. Our fun events, like The Windsor Monarch Festival and The Upcycled Planter Challenge, helped raise funds to further promote butterfly habitats and even catching local news coverage! With the Monarch Butterfly bouncing back from near extinction, we’re thrilled about our progress. Plus, local schools are now including the raise and release program in their lessons!
