The Windsor Monarch Project committee and First Town Downtown encourage you to visit Windsor Center from July 2-13, where thirty-five upcycled planters will be on display at various sponsor business locations and on the Windsor Town Green. Designers, artisans, and local gardening enthusiasts have crafted these butterfly friendly planters from a variety of unusual items. The Upcycled Planter Challenge coincides with the Windsor Garden Tour (July 10), a pop-up market at James Selig Estate Jewelry & Antiques (July 10), a paint night with Irene’s Traveling Paint Parties (July 10), and many other sponsor specials and promotions. For the full map of planter locations and information about the pop-up market, paint party, and sponsor specials, visit https://viewer.mapme.com/upcycled-planter-challenge-windsorct. Vote online for your favorite planter and the designer with the most ‘likes’ will receive a prize! You’ll also have the unique opportunity to take one of these artistic and one-of-a-kind planters to your own home, by bidding for it in the online auction. Voting and auction will be found on the First Town Downtown Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/firsttowndowntown). Don’t miss out on viewing this fabulous display of unusual, yet purposeful art throughout Windsor Center! |
