Online Auction & How to Bid

Go to our Online Auction and bid in the comments of the item posts!
We are posting the planters one at a time, several per day. When the planter you want comes up, bid in the comments! Keep a close eye our facebook page every day! The auction ends on Friday, July 22 at 5:00 pm EST!

HOW TO BID IN THE UPCYCLED PLANTER AUCTION

1. Go to Facebook how you normally do (on your computer or on your phone app or phone's browser). Here's a direct link (click to open it in your browser): FTDT Facebook page. If you're on the app, just search for First Town Downtown. Either way, you'll have to be logged in to bid.

Auction items will be posted a few per day throughout the auction.

2. Auction items include a value and a minimum bid amount. When you see an auction item you like, place your bid by commenting on the post with the dollar amount. Bid increments must be at least $5.

3. Please bid at least the minimum amount of $50.

4. The auction ends on Friday, July 22nd at 5:00 pm. Get your bids in before then! Winners will be contacted shortly after to arrange payment and pickup.

Tip: click "All Comments" to make sure you're seeing all the other bids.

ONLINE AUCTION RULES:

Bidding for the First Town Downtown 2022 Upcycled Pollinator Planter Challenge Online Auction will be open from 8:00 AM on Saturday, July 9, 2022 until 5:00 PM on Friday, July 22, 2022.

By bidding in the online auction, each bidder agrees to the auction rules.

First Town Downtown reserves the right to add or withdraw items, to or from this online auction, without notice.

You may bid on as many items as you like.

To bid, comment on the Facebook post with your bid amount in whole dollars, no cents, for at least the minimum bid for the item.

** If you do not have access to Facebook, please ask a family member or friend to bid on your behalf using Facebook. They would simply comment on the post with “Bidding on behalf of: (your name)“ and include the whole dollar bid or buy now amount. If you've tried all else, call Paula at 860-712-5514 and she will bid for you.

Bids must be increased by increments of at least $5 from the previous bidder.

Any bids not adhering to the Auction Rules will be declared invalid.

All items are available for continuous bidding until Friday, July 22 at 5:00 PM EST.

If you are the winning bidder, auction item purchase is final. No returns or exchanges will be issued. All provisions listed in the item certificates are subject to availability. Please pay for your auction item within 24 hours from the close of the auction. First Town Downtown will contact you via Facebook messenger to arrange payment, and pick-up after the winning bid amount is paid.

You may bid on any item until the end of the auction on Friday, July 22 at 5:00 PM EST.
