FirstTown Downtown held the first Mainstreet Matters Morning Meeting on October 1, 2014. Hosting the event was the new cafe on Broad Street, 226 Jazz Art Java. Town Manager, Peter Souza, spoke to the group of FirstTown members, downtown business people and property owners about the current plans and future progress of downtown development. Economic Development Director, James Burke, also addressed the crowd to discuss the recent TOD center study results.
The First Town Downtown Farmers' Market is in its 6th season! This well-attended local marketplace includes locally grown fruits, vegetables, baked goods, cheese, honey and occasional artisans with their crafts.
The Farmers' Market runs until October 23 and is located at 240 Broad Street 3:30-6:30.
