First Town Downtown gathered over sixty volunteers on Saturday morning to help us beautify and clean up Windsor Center!
You may have seen these teams out-and-about picking up trash, we were overwhelmed by their efforts and amazed by the filled the dumpster at Windsor ACE Hardware. We heard from many community members and business owners, who were thrilled. We also heard feedback from many volunteers regarding certain “problem areas” that we will continue to monitor and address.
The only minor issue was that two of our borrowed “garbage grabbers” were not returned on Saturday. If you volunteered and accidentally took the grabber home, please drop off at the First Town Downtown office (161-A Broad Street) or let us know where we can pick it up; we do need to return them to Public Works early this week.
All-in-all, we are very thankful for the generosity of our community, who shared their time with us on a chilly Saturday morning. We are comforted knowing that our community consists of caring individuals, who want to help keep Windsor looking awesome. If there are other groups that would like to coordinate your own clean up event in Windsor Center, we are happy to help you organize and promote it.
Windsor Center Gift Cards also make wonderful Mother’s Day gifts! Give your special someone the option to shop or dine at several of Windsor Center’s local businesses. More info
