The Board of Directors and I wish you a very happy and healthy New Year! We also would like to take a moment to appreciate all the progress we've made in the last year. Here's a sample of what we accomplished in 2019: Video Series - With new resources, we started a video series to show the public the real people behind the Farmers' Market. Well Loved Events - We hosted another full year of successful events including the Farmers' Market, Taste of Windsor, Concerts on the Green, Nightmare on Broad Street and the Carol Sing and Torchlight Parade. Promoting Business - We introduced a center-wide Gift Card program on Small Business Saturday Nov 30th to promote our center shops and restaurants while providing residents with a unique gifting opportunity. This program has already infused over $28,000 into our center businesses. Promoting Non-Profits - Coordinated efforts with several Windsor non-profit organizations to promote their causes via the large public-facing windows at CVS Heritage Bricks - More than 20 new engraved Heritage bricks were installed in the brick patio to celebrate important milestones and in memory of loved ones in our community. Rental Space - We worked with property owners to assist in filling vacant commercial rental space. If you are not yet a member of First Town Downtown, please join today and be a part of our town center's progress. Sincerely, Jane Garibay IOM Director, First Town Downtown, Inc |
