Neill Sachdev

Biography
Neill Sachdev is a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch, and is a partner with the Grande-Sachdev group in Hartford, CT. He is very passionate his community, and currently holds leadership roles in the Civitan Club, Windsor Art Center, and Windsor Conservation Commission. Neill also sits on the Historic District Zoning Commission, and is the 2019 Shad Derby Judges' Chair. In his free time, Neill likes to cycle, see many films, attend events at local museums and art centers, and explore New England.

Why Neill Loves Windsor Center

This town embraced an immigrant small business owner, and gave him the opportunity to achieve his American dream.

Doing that enabled him to bring over 12 other family members, all of whom became American citizens and are now spread around the country. To several generations of my family, home in the United States means Windsor, Connecticut.

At the time, the Plaza Theater played films in Hindi, and for a country and people that love film (i.e. Bollywood) having somewhere that recognized and celebrated their culture was very impactful. As a cinephile myself, the Plaza represented the place where I saw some of my first films on the silver screen. Windsor Center is personally impactful because it has always felt diverse, open and welcoming. We have the potential to challenge norms, and embrace any who want to work towards a stronger community.

Neill says "I believe that this town center has immense potential, and with the creation of Windsor Station Apartments and transit oriented development occurring we are working towards it. I am proud to be a part of that process".
