State Archaeologist to Speak at Ellsworth Homestead
Dr. Brian Jones, Connecticut State Archaeologist, will speak at the Oliver Ellsworth Homestead, 778 Palisado Avenue in Windsor, on Saturday, September 10 at 11 a.m. The program “Connecticut’s Earliest European Settlers: Recent Finds from Windsor and Glastonbury” includes excavations for the exact location of the palisade built in Windsor in the 1600s and a possible site of the trading post constructed in 1633.

Open to the public free of charge. Donations will be accepted for the Connecticut State Museum of Natural History. Hosted by the Abigail Wolcott Ellsworth Chapter DAR.
