Holly Hanson and Steve Hayes are a nationally touring, acoustic duo who play original, contemporary music that often features stories, lighthouses and historical biographies. The duo’s shows have become known for their intimate performance style, carefully crafted lyrics, generous harmony singing, and exceptional guitar picking. Holly’s lovely voice seems instantly familiar. Neptune’s Car has been performing together since 2006 and have two acclaimed CD’s to their credit. Their third disc, The 45th Parallel, was just released in January. They also have a song, “Sink or Swim,” in the upcoming motion picture soundtrack “Keepers.” Neptune’s Car has shared billing with Archie Fisher, Bill Staines, Seth Glier, Mustard’s Retreat, Anne Hills, Neil Woodward, Dan Hall and Rani Arbo. The duo was one of Folk Alley’s Top Picks of 2010 and their song, “Lighthouse Keeper,” was the #1 song on folk radio in September of that year. Hear their music at www. neptunescar.com.
