Grace Episcopal Church on the Green in Windsor will open an historical exhibit in celebration of the church building’s 150th anniversary beginning on Friday, October 23 until Wednesday, November 4. The exhibit will tell the evolving story of Grace Church and the people who have been a part of it over the last century and a half through stories, archival items, photos, artwork and documents. Some of the items displayed will be register books, family bibles, Eucharistic pieces, parish life photos and original documents such as those from renowned sculpture Evelyn Loomis Batchelder, who sculptured an altar piece, and Grace Church architect George Keller. Tours to view the church’s historic stained glass windows as well as the Tuttle house rectory will also be available.
The exhibit hours are between October 23 and November 4 are: Wednesdays 5pm – 7pm Fridays 5pm – 7pm Saturdays, 11am – 3pm Sundays 1pm – 3pm
Admission to the exhibit is free and is open to the public.
