On Saturday, July 11 experienced professionals from the Connecticut Society of Genealogists will provide individual consultations on pursuing family history research. Getting started, your immigrant ancestors, and internet research are among the topics covered. From 10 – 11 AM in an optional presentation, genealogist Ed Strickland will present his Trunk in the Attic program, a combination show-and-tell/ Powerpoint revealing how documents and artifacts most people already have in their homes such as photographs, baby books, school year books, and even utility bills can yield clues to the family history researcher. Please pre-register for Strickland presentation and individual consultations since space is limited. You will be assigned a specific time with your genealogist of choice. COST: $6 adults, $5 seniors and students, $4 WHS members.
