| | | Have you wanted to visit but can’t wait until we open at 11 AM? Bring the whole crew on August 6th, and enjoy our Windsor history galleries and Hands-on-History Learning Center at your own pace. Meet other families, try out our new train table, build something spectacular with Legos, "milk" Flavia the cow, don colonial costumes and “cook” up a feast! At 10 AM, “Captain Bob” Bell will visit and show you how and why bridges are built, and how boats work. Build your own Lego bridge, decorate a sailor hat, and see a demonstration of a balloon-powered boat. Purchase your own balloon boat for $3 for hours of backyard pool and bathtub fun. Perfect for even the youngest learners (crawling is encouraged)!
Regular house tours will still be held at 11 AM and 1 PM, and the research library will be open from 11 AM to 4 PM. Cost: Windsor history galleries and Hands-on-History Learning Center: FREE (as always); Strong-Howard House: children 12 and under, teachers, and members are FREE, adults $8, students and seniors $6. Admission covers the whole day if you decide to stay. First Saturdays dates: October 1, November 5, and December 3. We will not be holding First Saturdays on September 3 for holiday weekends.
