Gather with friends and other creative folks on Friday, March 27, from 6:30-8:30PM to learn a fun and fabulous way to apply vibrant dyes to pure silk with artist Lisel Crowley. While sipping libations and nibbling on goodies, you will be shown a freeform and easy technique for applying a rainbow of beautiful dyes to a sumptuous silk scarf. Scarves can be folded, pleated, knotted, etc. to create unique and interesting patterns. Then dye is applied in your choice of colors. The scarves are steam set in the microwave, rinsed and ironed revealing your stunning work of wearable art. Scarves are a generous 14 x 72 inches, pure silk habotai. Whether you are a “creatively challenged” individual or an experienced artist, you will find new ways to express yourself with this fantastic medium and technique. Cost: $35.00 (includes materials fee for one scarf, wine, and refreshments) Register Online at: http://www.windsorartcenter.org/creative-night-out-microwave-dying-on-silk/ Teacher: Lis-el Crowley A self-proclaimed Creativity Addict, Lis-el has traveled and taught a variety of classes throughout the United States.
