•Session 1, September 20: Introduction to the Society: Explore our library, Windsor history galleries, and Palisado Green, the heart of historic Windsor. •Session 2, September 27: Guiding in the Strong-Howard House. Find out why people love this house and see for yourself why it has won local, state, and national awards. •Session 3: October 4: Dr. Hezekiah Chaffee’s House and Windsor Historical Society’s Educational trunks and programs. Learn more about this doctor, his medical practice, the enslaved African-Americans who kept the household running, and the Society’s education programs on Colonial and Native American Life and, the American Revolution. We will provide you with training materials and set you up with delightful and informed veteran guides and educators to shadow until you feel comfortable giving tours on your own. Other volunteering opportunities at the Society include baking, organizing, media troubleshooting, and cleanup for public programs and events, posting flyers around town, and work in the library and on our grounds.
