Design Committee
Our Design Committee is about restoring downtown's character and identity as the foundation for restoring downtown's commercial competitiveness. These physical qualities are what differentiate downtown from all other commercial districts. Ultimately, downtown's marketability depends on its unique "sense of place." Members of the Design Committee educate themselves and other of what is good design and why it is important. Additionally, they help to plan downtown's future and motivate others to make changes providing tools and targeting key projects.
Improving Windsor Center's image by enhancing the physical appearance of all elements.
The Design Committee's projects include the Windsor Center Corridor Study Plan, the Thumbs Up Campaign to recognize property owners that make significant improvements to their property, Design Guidelines, Historic Walking Tour Development.
