Ted Naylor owns and operates Officeworks PC - a technology firm that specializes in the design, installation, and maintenance of computer networks primarily for small- to medium-sized businesses. Officeworks, which was established in 1991, has recently moved to the Mill Building in Tariffville, CT.
After growing up in Ann Arbor, MI, Ted graduated from the University of Michigan with a BFA in Industrial Design. He soon went to work for Herman Miller, Inc. (A Fortune 500 manufacturer of office furniture, headquartered in Zeeland, MI) first as a product designer and then later on as an application specialist. In 1981, he took a transfer to work in their regional sales office in Boston where he held various sales positions until becoming Sales Manager for the New England Area in 1985. Then in 1987, he and a partner were recruited to open a startup office furniture dealership in Greater Hartford - which is what brought Ted and his family to Connecticut. Unfortunately, that business was forced to close in the fall of 1991 after succumbing to the pressures of that recession. It was then that Ted decided to strike out on his own - following a passion that he had held for computers since getting his first PC way back in 1983.
Ted and his family moved to their present home in Poquonock during the summer of 1988. His family consists of his wife Yvonne (who also manages the company's books) and their two children, Sean and Cara who are both graduates of Windsor High School.
Ted has chosen to get involved in community affairs as a way of "giving back" to the Town of Windsor - which has truly become home for him and his family.
