2004 The Luddy House

Quantity:
$20.00
Built in 1921 by John E. Luddy, it was the home of the manager of the CT Leaf Tobacco Association and founder of the Windsor Company, a major textile provider. At Luddy's death in 1964, the house and carriage house were sold to the Town of Windsor. The building has housed a coffee shop, Town of Windsor Recreation offices, retail shops and since 1999 has been the home of the Windsor Chamber of Commerce. In 2001 the building also become home to the Corporation that runs the Summer Wind Amphitheatre. The house has remained in essentially the same form since it was built. The carriage house in the back parking lot houses a local Windsor business.
